2019 Halifax County Heritage & Antique Machinery Festival |
The 16th Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival is shaping up to be one of the best yet with tractor pulls, quarter scale pulls, mud bogs, and toe-tapping gospel and bluegrass music. A Classic Cars Cruise In presented by the Tinkers Car Club of South Boston is planned as well as an impressive display of vintage stock cars and Model A’s, many interesting farm machinery demonstrations, great activities and games for the children, many arts and crafts vendors, and some of the most mouth-watering, delicious festival foods around. Back by popular demand is Carl Pletcher of Altoona, Alabama with his “cut away” tractor. Pletcher plans to return this year to show off his 1945 Ford 2N tractor that he cut in half and meticulously restored showcasing each internal part. Pletcher’s “cut away” tractor will be on display in the Exhibit Hall. Many
