Kenny Clark of Doug’s Reproductions and Lucy Conner member of the Halifax County Heritage Festival Committee are shown with a beautiful plantation desk that will be given away to one lucky winner.  The desk, handmade and donated to the Heritage Festival Committee by Clark, is made of solid pine salvaged from the old Halcyon Hospital that was once on Jeffress Street in South Boston.         Tickets are $1.00 each and may be purchased from any Heritage Festival Committee member.  All proceeds will benefit the Heritage Festival Scholarship Fund.  A drawing will be held Sunday, May 8 at 3:00 pm at the Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival.  Winner does not need to be present to win.
